Send a message to a list
There are two ways to send a message to a list. 1) Open the list in the Lists module, and send a message from there; 2) Use the Messaging module and when selecting your recipients select the list you want to message. Each option is explained below.
Using the Lists module to message a list.
Sending messages to a list, whether they are SMSes, emails, or Push-Notifications, is very easy. All you need to do is open a list by clicking the View Members button next to a list, and then clicking the Send Message button.
From there you can select which of the list members to include in the message and what kind of message you would like to send.
Using the Messaging module to send a message to a list.
To send a message to a list from the Message module:
Open the Messaging module from the main menu: Communication >> Messaging.
Select Custom Lists.
Click the button labelled "There are 0 items selected for this message".
This will open a drop-down menu of all your lists. Select the list you want.
Select the kind of message you want to send.
Note: when messaging a list from the Messaging module you can only message the entire list; you cannot, for example, remove a few people. If you need to edit the recipients of the list, rather send the message from the Lists module as this feature is included there.
