Can I Use Special Characters in my SMSes?

There are a few limitations when including certain special characters when sending SMSes through the GoDoChurch database system.  Please take note of the information below:

  • If you use the < symbol in the body of your SMS it will not send, however, the > can be used and the SMS will be sent.

  • If you compile a message in another application (eg. Word, Notepad, etc.) containing an apostrophe (eg. Must’ve mustn’t can’t don’t shouldn’t wouldn’t), and then copy the message and paste the message into the GoDoChurch messaging facility, the message will be sent, but it will not have the apostrophe's. BUT if you compile the message directly in the text box provided in the GoDoChurch message module, then the apostrophe's will be included.
